The product is a 1 fl. oz. (28 g) gel packaged in an innovative accordion-like tube for easy dispensing in hard-to-reach areas. It is a primary dressing for wounds with light or no exudate, helping to maintain a moist wound healing environment for autolytic debridement. It is amorphous and non-cytotoxic. To prevent maceration, a moisture barrier ointment or barrier film can be applied to protect peri-wound skin. Depending on the amount of exudate and frequency of dressing change, it is recommended to cover with an appropriate secondary dressing.
